Mom of truth and faith

I met a lovely mom who took pride in not having worked hard all her life. Hers was a life of a princess. Adorned, adored and led a rich sensual life. She was a happy young lady in her 20s back then. She would have all that she wanted in a matter of few minutes. Her self-indulgent nature knew no limits. Day and night, she splurged to treat and give herself full happiness. Days went on and on. One day she realised she had lost something that she treasured. Her son had fallen terribly ill and waiting to die. She thought to herself her chance of enjoying tomorrow is all gone.

She roamed on the streets. She tried to believe her real-life situation. Again, taking the same road going back and forth. A church close by, caught her attention. She peeked in but saw no one. These bold words of life were written on the wall and still speaks today “With God, all these are possible”.

No one could give her such hope and courage. She suddenly felt a surge of faith in her heart that a certain God is there and nothing is impossible with him. She believed that this God will help her and heal her son completely. Her son had been lying sick with no food for 7 days. She went home to see her son with hope from these words although there was no money to buy medicine. To her surprise, her son got up from his bed of suffering and asked for a cup of milk. Indeed, that great God had cured him of his sickness as soon as the mother put her faith in God and Lord Jesus Christ. Mom’s faith in God made her son well.
