Free, Best & True Love

“I have loved you…with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.”

Jeremiah 31:3 NLT

Almighty God loved you with an everlasting love. He loved you first and drawn you close to him. His bond of love can never break. His love will never fail. For your sake, he sent His son Jesus Christ to bear your sins so you can live free.

His love is genuine. He demonstrated his love and compassion for you. No one can love more than God. You can love him back. You can depend on His true love. May you be blessed through Jesus Christ!

Life Full of Holidays

Life full of holidays? Being at rest and restored is a choice. Would you be willing to choose to rest? Would you be willing to know no worries of the world, to be deeply satisfied, to truly appreciate? To take the gifts and lessons left behind from past seasons of our lives and carry it forward with you?

The closeness of my closest friend changed the trajectory of my life and family. The vast, uphill journey of pleasantness, serenity, quietness and comfort speak louder every day as I recite my verse into this blog space.

I hadn’t even opened my mouth to utter it. But, God-in-me knew my musings and my very nature of ups and downs and thoughts of needs. He has always been the first one to understand me and my thoughts. He has always been the first one who comes to my aid, he is the first one to empathize with my weakness.

I did not even know what was best for me and I did not know where to search for it. God directed my steps. God provided for me at the right season of my life. I’m grateful for his unfailing love and his faithfulness of his word.

At 21, I was married even before I longed for it.

In my 20s, I bore children without waiting for it.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. Ecclesiastes 3:11

All these years, I was fed and nurtured wonderfully, not by the work of my hands.

I have not labored yet to prepare my food. I was fed without the worries of the world like the birds of the air. They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet my heavenly Father feeds them. I’m truly grateful for my Father’s love upon our family for his rich provision.

Every good gift, be it clothing or spiritual discernment come from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. God foreknew my life, met my needs, my deepest desires and longings.

“Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows,” James 1: 17

All praise to my King Jesus Christ!

A Day in My Life

A day in my life

I spread out my wings

I flew, I darted, I stalled

I fled and rested

I counted them all in my little nest

Shares of distress and joy

Looking up to the mountains

A soft whisper, a cry for mercy

Longing for His warm embrace

Yearning for His sweet fellowship

With enough God’s consolation

His gentle words stir my heart

As scent of water to a dry tree

So, the scent of His power over my life

That’s the wonder of His unfailing love

You answer us with awesome and righteous deeds, God our Savior, the hope of all the ends of the earth and of the farthest seas, Psalm 65:5

Praise be to God, who has not rejected my prayer or withheld his love from me! Psalm 66:20

God loves you, my friend! Lord Jesus is alive!

Greatest quality of a business man

I heard from a wonderful gentleman named Freddy now in his 60s. In his young age, he owned a car mechanic shop in India. All went well, peaceful, prosperous and self-sufficient. Comparing to his past, his present state proved to be a huge success.  So, I listened further to what he had been through.

He had the calling to move to a new career path. This shift brought him to a new season of change… A change in perspective, change in realities, facing new fears and growing from strength to strength. He left his mechanic shop and everything he owned. He moved to this new work. Being the breadwinner of the family, all expenses should be met by him. Later, his financial resources dropped low and fear overtook him. Fear of being incapable to feed the family, fear of being incapable to meet their family’s needs, fear of being incapable to pay bills on time, fear of ridicule and so on. When everyone around him wanted to know what was happening, he was also fearing shame.

There seemed no solution except to trust in God and receive his favor. Fear constantly gripped him. Then he remembered this

For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. 2 Timothy 1:7

He kept repeating these words of God and thinking to himself… This same God is my God.  God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind. He started to doubt his fear. He believed he had in himself such great power, love and sound mind and thought to himself that he didn’t have to fear. These words gave him hope and confidence. Many years ago, one day they had nothing to provide for the family, suddenly a crow dropped 100 rupees at their window. They thanked God for his kindness and favor. Usually, crow steal and take away food through the window but this time it dropped some money. God opened doors to blessing. God blessed him abundantly. He now shares his joy and passion for God wherever help is needed. You too can trust God.

Strength in times of weakness

A good-willed grandfather in his 80s had been widowed recently. His was a case of stolen identity. He was cared by his people but soon forsaken and left in an unfamiliar place “aged care”. To him, it was a place where mere existence and living was a burden to others. His heart and soul was badly wounded. Grief stricken and sorrowful was his time of his life. Nothing in the aged care could motivate him to live. There was nothing that could take away the pain and anxiety of lost, forsaken and forgotten grandfather. People were led to believe in positive thinking. But that didn’t help. His medicines didn’t really seem to add anything to his health. He seemed to be weighing below 65 pounds.

A family he knew prayed for him continually. They did not give up on God because He is a God nearby and far-away. Although he is weak, God is mighty. This family put their hope in God’s unfailing love. God opened doors of favor for this grandfather and sent to him helpers who brought him back home. This was the Lord’s doing and it is still marvellous to our eyes. To grandpa, it seemed impossible. Others around him given up their hope of his survival. With God, all things are possible. The Lord is close to the broken- hearted. He has heard the cries and miseries of this grandfather. God ‘s richest grace enabled him to bring him home safe and sound. He has shown him kindness and saved him in His unfailing love.

God through Jesus Christ had given us hope and through His Spirit guided and led us in the right path to bring home grandpa safe and sound. To God be the glory because of His love and faithfulness. (Psalm 115:1)

Ashes to riches

A childhood friend of mine, Raja was born and brought up in quiet streets of suburban part of South India. He was a slum-dweller with his little family, residing in the back streets of his busy hometown. Being the first-born, his parents named him Raja which meant King. Unlike his name, he was always seen in a white singlet and brown trousers which appeared worn out and dull. As a child, his ambition was to become a builder as his father was doing the same.

He always came to Sunday school as a young child. There he learnt about God and his attributes through His works among people. He listened to incidents of how God lifted up the humble, how God caused the humble to succeed, how He lifted the lowly, made them King and seated them on the throne. He was amazed about who God is. His heart and mind were occupied with thoughts of Jesus, His miracles and how He changes lives. Raja adored God and His son Lord Jesus Christ. He started to read scripture at a young age. God’s word brought hope and filled him with peace and joy.

Everyone around him could see he was standing in faith in Jesus. When time for his wedding drew near, he desired to have a God-fearing wife and to lead a God-centred life. He wanted to keep God as the top priority and his word as a guide for his life. He knew it was not his parents but the Spirit of good Lord was nurturing him every step of the way. Because he knew “The Lord watches over the way of the righteous”.

His 2 young children and his wife are happy, peaceful and content with God by their side every day. God had lifted him up from where he was born to a beautiful place where he had never dreamt of. Flying on an aeroplane and living in a foreign country was more than he imagined. Today, he is grateful to God for his everlasting love and unfailing favor shown to him each day. God’s blessings are upon him.

But you, Lord, are a shield around me,
my glory, the One who lifts my head high. Psalm 3:3

From the Lord comes deliverance.
May your blessing be on your people. Psalm 3:8

Living just by seeking

A young lady in her 20s embarked on a unique journey. She certainly started with her best foot forward. Her deep seated thoughts of her upcoming changes of her life seemed visionary. Little did she know what was coming up. One day at a time, the rudder of her boat moved her to disembark to a new journey. Her strong tower of dreams and refuge of illusions were shaken. In addition to that, her possessions were taken away from her. Anyone would possibly take on another path but she did not waver.

There was someone she knew that by seeking him, she would live. Just not live, but life and hope would be added to her. Whenever she came to meet him, he empathized for her and would meet her needs, whatever it may be. She just wanted someone to listen to her, all that her heart was weighed down with. He was surely listening to her every single word and every single sigh. He was watching every tear drop that rolled over her cheek, every matter that brought her distress and heart ache. He was searching her heart and knowing her mind as she talked.

His heart was moved with compassion. He was determined to do something for her. He had carefully planned her future. Whenever she turned to him, he had revealed her about her future days and how she might be. Little by little as she knew, she believed in his words. She took hold of his words for real although it was unimaginable and so massive and confronting to achieve. As a matter of fact, some of her future plans had not involved her money or her time or made use of any resources. She did not chase after it but it came to her.

Truly, he had been a good man, worth given in marriage to. For he had sown seeds of love gently and patiently and invested his time to love her, cherish her dearly. He was the only true reason for her well being. If she had to recount, there cannot be a man so near and dear, so good and faithful as him. He is the one who still carries her close to his heart. That my friend was the love of Jesus Christ.
