Surprise! Surprise!

Some time ago, I was inspired by a particular script. This led me to imagining the portrayal of the script through creative art. I wanted to turn it into a beautiful wall hanging. I kept my desires to myself. My All-knowing God knew what was in my heart although I never spoke a word about it to anyone.

Some days later, my folks bought something from op-shop and it took me by surprise. It was three canvas boards with background colours painted on it. Also, a painting of a dull, dried up tree in the centre. This caught me by surprise. There it was a startup of my picture painting.

I had a picture etched in my mind according to the script. That was a healthy looking tree, fresh green leaves, lots of flowers blossoming, buds and full of fruits. It was an enjoyable experience, finishing off painting according to my ideas.

I was amazed about the right timing and the right package which my folks unknowingly brought home. God knew my longings and the desires of my heart. He surprised me again by satisfying my needs beyond my thinking.

You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. Psalm 145:16

Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4

I thank Almighty God for granting my heart’s desires and satisfying my needs.

A surprise gift from invisible God

On a vacation trip to Nowra located at the South Coast of New South Wales, our family and I went on a shopping spree. I went to a shop looking to buy something pretty. Yes, I found a beautiful pink dress made of satin and lace. I tried it on, it was too big for me. I was looking for my size, but I couldn’t get one. The shop assistant said that was all they have. I came home and eventually forgot about it. In a matter of a few days, my mother in law gifted me something and said this is something I would love. I opened it with excitement and found the same pink beautiful dress with lace and satin that perfectly fitted me. I was so glad that God knew my heart’s desires. He gave me the desires of my heart. It was indeed a surprise gift from God.
