The Unforeseen Chronicle

Oh, what a year it’s been, a small flu shut the whole world down. It held numerous on the floor, many on the couch, some at home locked down without a warning. We panicked, shopped, outran the witty, tweeted a hint of support for many who needed any.

We watch and wait, watch and go, wait and sanitize as we go. Thoughts of distancing cross our minds umpteen times a day to prompt our children, nudge their cool-headedness, sneak out for their safety. Check on gran, SMS a friend, shop with our siblings, smile at strangers. Can’t wait to know the truth, when this will end.

But this is my comfort. This is my hiding place and my resting place. The truth that lies beneath my flesh, in the aura of my heart..

..in Christ Jesus all things hold together. Colossians 1:17

In peace I will lie down and sleep,
    for you alone, Lord,
make me dwell in safety. Psalm 4:8

Yes, it’s true. Numerous downloads of strength from His word and daily fresh grace of my loving heavenly father are my joy and delight.

Praying for you all. Cheers!

Prayer Of a Preschooler

My little preschooler dancing and prancing as always, seem to understand about pandemic. I’m eager to learn from him things that so often nudge his thinking brain. He is so eloquent about issues around him and how he feels about it. That makes me tick.

Me: Today, I’m going to read this book “Spot’s Bedtime Storybook”.

Him: Skip Ad ! Haha

The reason for writing today is his thoughtful prayers in response to pandemic. Every morning, he prays that he wants his friends happy and well. He prays that his preschoolers come to play with him, have fun and enjoy every moment at preschool. We are grateful to God for His tender mercies that are new every morning, keeping everyone safe and healthy without fear of harm and danger. His compassion never fail. Our God is our loving heavenly father. All of his friends are safe; taken care and loved by God”.

22. Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
    for his compassions never fail.
23. They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22, 23)

Love: The reason for our smiles

(Dear Readers, I trust you are well. I pray with assurance and hope for your health, strength, support and comfort. In these dark times, you are not alone. Take heart. This too shall pass)

This is one of many astonishing changes that happened some days ago in this quiet dull season. Due to pandemic, businesses were slowing down. Business expenditure had to be slashed. Losing jobs shocked many in the community. At this point of time, my husband’s job didn’t seem steady. His project was put on hold and was given 4 weeks period of notice. We never thought this problem would arise.

We prayed to God earnestly for an opening that would bless our family. God listened to our prayers. After praying, we were not afraid. We felt a sense of calm. Quietness filled our soul after we gave our burden and worries that mattered to us to Almighty God in prayer. After 2 weeks, someone called him for a job proposal. With so many companies laying off professionals and workers, my husband got the job at the right time. They were impressed and we found favor in the sight of God and men. God helped us right on time. I thank God for he did not leave us hungry or broken-hearted. Help came in at the right time. We received the comfort from God, the sure salvation from Lord Almighty.

“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Hebrews 13:6

We daily thank Lord Jesus Christ for the price He paid at the cross for us.
