My little preschooler dancing and prancing as always, seem to understand about pandemic. I’m eager to learn from him things that so often nudge his thinking brain. He is so eloquent about issues around him and how he feels about it. That makes me tick.
Me: Today, I’m going to read this book “Spot’s Bedtime Storybook”.
Him: Skip Ad ! Haha
The reason for writing today is his thoughtful prayers in response to pandemic. Every morning, he prays that he wants his friends happy and well. He prays that his preschoolers come to play with him, have fun and enjoy every moment at preschool. We are grateful to God for His tender mercies that are new every morning, keeping everyone safe and healthy without fear of harm and danger. His compassion never fail. Our God is our loving heavenly father. All of his friends are safe; taken care and loved by God”.
22. Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23. They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22, 23)

One day a tired-looking father said to me that he was really worried about his finances, trying to make both ends meet each month. Same story, every month showed signs of toil and burden on him. This young father have always been God-fearing and honored God first. He was reluctant to open his heart to anyone he knew. He never revealed anything and kept everything to himself. No one could ever imagine his situations and struggle for his family.
As usual, he went to church for Family prayer where the Lord speaks and reveals through His word. His words were..
“I know that you can do all things; no purpose of yours can be thwarted. Job 42:2
These words were speaking to him, kept working in him immediately. He understood this answer was from God. He believed that God can do all things and His purpose cannot be opposed or stopped from happening. He is the great and mighty God. He will fulfill His purpose for him. He left the church with peace and quietness, full of hope. He prayed that this word come true in his life at this point of his need.
Although this father came to a stand-still point with no help or support for this month’s expenses, he put his trust on the words of God. Because God is firm in his purpose and “what he opens no one can shut, and what he shuts no one can open. ” In a matter of 5 days, God opened the doors to opportunity to bless him abundantly, more than he expected. This estimated income was more than he could imagine. He was full of joy and praise for God. He trusted in God and God blessed him.
‘Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know.’ Jeremiah 33:3. Call on God, he will speak to you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know. Don’t give up.
This is a true incident that happened to an enthusiastic 10 year old boy in his school days. His artistic talent led him to pencil sketching and many more. He was blessed in many ways. No doubt, his parents gave him the best of everything a child could ever dream of. As days passed by, their financial situations changed. His father’s business income dropped. There was tight budget and tried to make both ends meet every month. It continued for some months until the point when they were worn out and could not pay school fees for their only son.
The mother was in distress. They tried and prayed until the last day of payment of school fees. The father suffered emotional pain that the child would be caught up in utter disappointment. Everyday disappointments were too much to bear for the family. There came the last day of payment and they were still praying about it.
The family made routine visit to his grandparents to convey love and regards to them as is the culture of South Asians. They had not shared the financial crisis to anyone nor asked for help. To their surprise, the grandparents stood up and given them a great sum of money saying some other relative in the family wanted to give away to them as a token of love. This act of God’s wonder and excitement that came from God’s way of answering their prayers were just awesome.
Today, he is grown up man in his 30s and teaches his children the fear of God. What a wonderful God He is !
A beautiful young lady in her 20s told a delightful story. She was blessed with beautiful children. Her house was never lacking in anything good. She had all that she dreamed of. She could desire of anything and things came to be. Anyone would say she was a lucky woman. Her relatives and people around her too never lacked anything because they acquired from her.
She could hear everything about things taken from her. Although they were few sincere souls around her, they were others who mocked her and rob her of her good things. That’s when she was starting to feel troubled. Her only weakness, she was blind and helpless. She came running to a place where she knows God speaks. She went to a church. She cried out to God for help. She then went back home with relief, hoping God will soon answer her prayer.
She did not stop praying, asking God for help in her weakness. Her eyes were both blind and she could hear people steal good things from her. She herself could not treasure it. She was thankful to God for His blessings for her life but she wanted to see them.
Days passed, one day early morning as she turned sideways on her bed, she saw ray of sunshine. She was overjoyed. Finally, it was happening. She was starting to see light. With faith, she holds on to the truth that God exists and He rewards those who diligently seek him… As said in the Bible in Hebrews 11:6
This is the story of a young lady with a radiant smile on her face. She was getting ready one Sunday morning. She suddenly realized she was missing a gold earring. It fell off in the hustle and bustle of her daily routine. She was extremely worried if it had fallen where it could not be found. She looked around but couldn’t find it. She knelt down and prayed to Almighty God. She said, “ Lord, I have no time to seek my gold earring but this morning I am coming to church to seek you.” She left for church and on her way back home, she was deeply thinking about where she might have lost it. She opened the door and the first thing she saw was her gold earring, safely lying in the most unexpected place. God heard her prayer and granted her request.
It was early morning at 3 am on a dull winter day in Sydney. When the whole family had dozed off, the grandma of the house was wide awake wondering about how she could probably cook for her younger grandson’s party. Her sore back had been painful for many months. Nothing helped her with the excruciating pain.
As she was starting to prep for cooking, she mumbled to herself “How am I going to do this? Lord, please help me”. She continued with a sigh. Few minutes passed by, as she was keeping the ingredients ready, a gentle hand touched her back. With a surprise on her face, she turned back to respond to her elder grandson who was always playful. She said, “Darling, Why did you wake up so early? Go to bed now”. But she could not find him or hear his voice. She thought he was hiding somewhere so she continued to look for him. He could not be found. She appeared startled. She realized the one who touched her was not her grandson. In fact, he was still in deep sleep. There was stillness in her heart.
she came to her senses and felt no back pain absolutely. She immediately
thanked and praised God for he took note of her pain and heard her prayer. He
helped her and relieved of her pain miraculously.
