My little preschooler dancing and prancing as always, seem to understand about pandemic. I’m eager to learn from him things that so often nudge his thinking brain. He is so eloquent about issues around him and how he feels about it. That makes me tick.
Me: Today, I’m going to read this book “Spot’s Bedtime Storybook”.
Him: Skip Ad ! Haha
The reason for writing today is his thoughtful prayers in response to pandemic. Every morning, he prays that he wants his friends happy and well. He prays that his preschoolers come to play with him, have fun and enjoy every moment at preschool. We are grateful to God for His tender mercies that are new every morning, keeping everyone safe and healthy without fear of harm and danger. His compassion never fail. Our God is our loving heavenly father. All of his friends are safe; taken care and loved by God”.
22. Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed,
for his compassions never fail.
23. They are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22, 23)

(Dear Readers, I trust you are well. I pray with assurance and hope for your health, strength, support and comfort. In these dark times, you are not alone. Take heart. This too shall pass)
This is one of many astonishing changes that happened some days ago in this quiet dull season. Due to pandemic, businesses were slowing down. Business expenditure had to be slashed. Losing jobs shocked many in the community. At this point of time, my husband’s job didn’t seem steady. His project was put on hold and was given 4 weeks period of notice. We never thought this problem would arise.
We prayed to God earnestly for an opening that would bless our family. God listened to our prayers. After praying, we were not afraid. We felt a sense of calm. Quietness filled our soul after we gave our burden and worries that mattered to us to Almighty God in prayer. After 2 weeks, someone called him for a job proposal. With so many companies laying off professionals and workers, my husband got the job at the right time. They were impressed and we found favor in the sight of God and men. God helped us right on time. I thank God for he did not leave us hungry or broken-hearted. Help came in at the right time. We received the comfort from God, the sure salvation from Lord Almighty.
“The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” Hebrews 13:6
We daily thank Lord Jesus Christ for the price He paid at the cross for us.
This is a real life incident of a beautiful family on their trip in India a decade ago. It still inspires me. Everything was packed and set for a mini-trip. There were no seat-belt restrictions or any other conditions for backseat passengers. This family had their young child sit at the back seat of their car. The couple happy and comfortable started their trip. The couple failed to check the rear door where their child had been lying. They started their trip. In a split-second, the door opened wide and the child rolled away out of the car.
The mother realised her terrible mistake.
This woman kept her faith in Lord Jesus Christ. She believed that Jesus gave his life for everyone. She believed there is victory in the blood of Jesus. As soon as the child fell out of the car, she screamed “Oh Lord, save my baby by your precious blood” and got off running to pick her child.. A car behind theirs in full speed stopped quickly. Just then, the mother thanked the driver for stopping at the right time. To their surprise, the driver said, “I did not push the brakes, it happened suddenly”.. the car did not move any further as if someone had intentionally stopped the car”
Then she remembered, because she called on the name of the Lord by his life-giving blood, they were saved.
for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Our help is in the name of the Lord,
the Maker of heaven and earth. Psalm 124:8
Our Lord is merciful and kind. Call on him today.
It was on a Saturday morning, keeping up with routine clean-up around the house. Nothing exciting but I love sparkly shine, spotless clean look of my house. My very helpful fly-swatter left a dirty spot on my ceiling. I was washing off the stain with sugar soap. It was starting to look OK and I was pretty happy about it.
I continued and within a second, a drop of this solution fell into my eye. It started to itch. It persisted for few hours. I felt pain in the corner of the eye, spreading further down close to my nose. I was really scared. I washed my eyes with fresh water many times. It was the day our guests were coming home. With limited time left, I wanted to finish off preparing meals and some more home chores to go.
Pain and itchiness in my eye bothered me, just then I remembered only these words ” For when I am weak, then I am strong” (2 Corinthians 12:10)
I prayed thanking God for His all-sufficient grace for me. I prayed to God to help me continue my tasks even when I am weak. God Almighty by His abundant provision of grace enabled me to finish off my tasks. Also, pain cleared off in sometime. Grateful to God for protecting my eyes and healing.
May the grace of Lord Jesus Christ be with you all!

Some time ago, I was inspired by a particular script. This led me to imagining the portrayal of the script through creative art. I wanted to turn it into a beautiful wall hanging. I kept my desires to myself. My All-knowing God knew what was in my heart although I never spoke a word about it to anyone.
Some days later, my folks bought something from op-shop and it took me by surprise. It was three canvas boards with background colours painted on it. Also, a painting of a dull, dried up tree in the centre. This caught me by surprise. There it was a startup of my picture painting.
I had a picture etched in my mind according to the script. That was a healthy looking tree, fresh green leaves, lots of flowers blossoming, buds and full of fruits. It was an enjoyable experience, finishing off painting according to my ideas.
I was amazed about the right timing and the right package which my folks unknowingly brought home. God knew my longings and the desires of my heart. He surprised me again by satisfying my needs beyond my thinking.
You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing. Psalm 145:16
Take delight in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Psalm 37:4
I thank Almighty God for granting my heart’s desires and satisfying my needs.
All hail Lord Jesus Christ!
On my journey back home from overseas, I was reminiscing memories of good things that happened over the holidays. I’m forever grateful for every single event – teddy bear hugs, giggles, scrumptious food, sleep, companionship, useful resources, relatives who stuck together through thick and thin.
After savoring everything nice, suddenly I started having the worst head-ache of the decade. Intense pain at the back of my head on left side. I was sure, this was due to stress. I tried to relax. But the pain grew worse. My head felt heavy. Again, I thought I needed more sleep. Pain persisted for 3 days. Suddenly, I felt like something snapping at the back of my head on the left side. This time I hurried my way to do something about it.
These words came to my mind at once… God has given me his Spirit of sonship. By him, I can call him Abba (Father) anytime and ask for help. I don’t need to take this pain or suffer all alone. So, I prayed to my Heavenly Father. I proclaimed that I had received salvation through the sacrifice of Lord Jesus Christ and proclaimed I had received his Spirit of sonship. I prayed that this pain leave my body. Just as I was speaking in prayer, pain left my body. Until now, I feel no pain. I thank Heavenly Father for his faithful love and generous favor upon my life.
The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, “Abba, Father.” Romans 8:15
I’m in my hometown, enjoying and relishing our time with relatives and friends. One of our neighbors asked me what am I studying. This was not the first time. She presumed that I was in college which in Indian way comes right after schooling without taking any breaks. In India, they finish Year 12 at 17. College years start around 18 and continues until 22 usually. I was asked the same question over and over again by people I meet at different places. Now I’m in my 30s actually.
I thank God for His grace given to me that restores my health and peace. I had been pondering on John 1:16 which goes like this “Out of his fullness we have all received grace in place of grace already given.” I wanted to know more about His fullness, what does it mean. I was digging into the Word. The fullness of His greatness, strength, power, wisdom, majesty, glory and so much more astonished me. I believe that out of his fullness, I have received grace in place of grace already given. This truth has restored my health.
I’ve vim, vigor and vitality. I don’t feel tired like before. I play with my 2 little boys and I feel like I’m physically young. My beautiful secret to youthfulness is my belief in Lord Jesus Christ. I thank and praise God through Lord Jesus Christ for this amazing truth and his grace given to me.
It was the loudest thud on a thunderous night. I held my son in my arms. Persistent lightning was the order of the day. We then ignored about the weather altogether. Next day morning, it was still wet everywhere. We opened the garage door to move our car in. To our shock, the ceiling of our garage had crashed and fallen on the floor. Consequent thunder shook our garage ceiling. That loud cracking noise was also due to this. We realised it a day later. But thank God, we left our car out in the driveway although the weather was too bad . The guy who later fixed the ceiling said it could have killed if someone had been there that night. We are grateful to God Almighty that he kept us safe.
He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalms 91:1 NKJV
He shall cover you with His feathers, And under His wings you shall take refuge;
Psalms 91:4 NKJV
I heard from a wonderful gentleman named Freddy now in his 60s. In his young age, he owned a car mechanic shop in India. All went well, peaceful, prosperous and self-sufficient. Comparing to his past, his present state proved to be a huge success. So, I listened further to what he had been through.
He had the calling to move to a
new career path. This shift brought him to a new season of change… A change
in perspective, change in realities, facing new fears and growing from strength
to strength. He left his mechanic shop and everything he owned. He moved to
this new work. Being the breadwinner of the family, all expenses should be met
by him. Later, his financial resources dropped low and fear overtook him. Fear
of being incapable to feed the family, fear of being incapable to meet their
family’s needs, fear of being incapable to pay bills on time, fear of ridicule
and so on. When everyone around him wanted to know what was happening, he was also
There seemed no solution except to trust in God and receive his favor. Fear constantly gripped him. Then he remembered this
has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound
mind. 2 Timothy 1:7
He kept repeating these words of God and thinking to himself… This same God is my God. God has not given me a spirit of fear but of power, of love and of a sound mind. He started to doubt his fear. He believed he had in himself such great power, love and sound mind and thought to himself that he didn’t have to fear. These words gave him hope and confidence. Many years ago, one day they had nothing to provide for the family, suddenly a crow dropped 100 rupees at their window. They thanked God for his kindness and favor. Usually, crow steal and take away food through the window but this time it dropped some money. God opened doors to blessing. God blessed him abundantly. He now shares his joy and passion for God wherever help is needed. You too can trust God.
This thing was in a night after tiring day’s work. Oh, that was nothing like peaceful slumber. My sleep was sweet, that’s all I could remember. Usually, I would sense my little one tossing and turning in my bed but this night drifted me away.
In the middle of the night, I had a strange feeling that caused me shock and pain from my shoulders to my legs. It felt like someone’s big hands were touching and pulling my inmost tissues of my body. It was disturbing in a way that I suddenly remembered my C-section delivery. That weird sensation which led to restlessness and quickness to escape from it. I kept mumbling to myself, turned sides, squirmed with pain but nothing changed. Then I awoke and realized that no one was there on my left side. On my right, was my little one quietly sleeping. But the sudden strong touch came from the left side. I trembled at that moment. Worst pain ever!
Then this word crossed my mind “… once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption.”
Hebrews 9:12. I was saying this to myself like an affirmation. By the blood of Lord Jesus Christ, his own blood, I am set free. Then, this pain and the hand that was agonising me left me at that moment. I felt calm and comforted knowing it left me. Then I went back to sleep.
I thank the Lord for he delivered me from my troubles through his word. There is power in the blood of Jesus Christ.
